Mr. Mario Gutierrez - Macro-Fiscal Advisor

Mr. Gutierrez, Ph.D holder in Economics from the University of Chicago, has joined IMF East AFRITAC as the new Macro-Fiscal Advisor since March 2011. He previously worked as a Consultant for the World Bank in several African countries. He has worked for the Institute of International Finance and International Monetary Fund in Washington DC, and the Central Bank of Chile. He has taught at Georgetown University and George Washington University in Washington DC, and Sciences-Po and American University in Paris. He has written research for the World Bank and the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean.
