Regional Workshop on Integrated Financial Management Systems

Mombasa, Kenya

The workshop aims at examining a number of aspects of enhancing budget transparency and comprehensiveness, including: Government Financial Management and Information System (GFMIS) development and management life cycle; GFMIS design and functionality; Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software vs. in-house development; and Integration of GFMIS with other business applications; Linkage with accounting and reporting framework.

The workshop is intended for mid-to-senior level officials from Ministry of Finance and Budget Departments, Public Accounts/Accountant General Departments as well as Government Financial Management and Information System projects who are (or will be) directly/indirectly involved in the oversight, design and implementation of public financial management systems.
